Sony reveals PS Tablets
Not long ago, Sony came out with the Xperia Play, in response to the iPhone which showed it can be as great a gaming machine the PSP is, thanks to titles Infinity Blade and Angry Birds. Apple probably got under Sony's skin with the iPad, so the latter decided to get hop onto the tablet trend by unveiling their own version of said gadget -- the PS Tablets.
A few hours ago, Sony announced two new tablet computers, the S1, which struts a single 9.4-inch display, and the S2, a Nintendo 3DS like gadget that features two 5.5 inch screens in a clamshell design similar to the Nintendo 3DS.
Both tablets will allow users to download and play PlayStation One titles through PlayStation Suite. They are also both equipped with Android 3.0, WiFi and 3G/4G.
While the announcement of these PS Tablets should give Steve Jobs to think about, this isn't exactly the kind of news consumers want from Sony right now. After the recent PSN Blackout, most gamers simply want answers for the inconvenience and just want to get back online. [via IGN]
